cardio

Hi everyone

I have decided enough is enough I better start the cardio and lose some chub. I did an aerobics class yesterday and today to start it off. Yesterday was a power class that used weights. Normally I would not do a class like that but I figure it will trick my muscles a little. Tonight I did a Zumba class. It would have been fun except the instructor forgot her music so we did the whole 60 mins without music. Hahaha it was funny. I felt bad for her, kind of embarrassing. So I am just trying out the different classes this week and next week I’ll be back to my heavy lifting plus cardio. My gym has a movie theater and that’s where I walk on the treadmill.

Well tomorrow I am apple picking with my mother and sister in law if the weather holds up. I ll let you know what I think of the next class I do.

Beach Fun

Hi everyone!! I know it has been a long long time since I updated the blog and I am truly sorry! I have been trying to soak up whats left of summer by hanging out at a cottage close to the the beach. Although I have been tanning I don’t seem to be holding onto it!! Must be the sun block!! I never use to use it but now you cant be too careful. I should just use protan all the time. ;0)  I have been inconsistent with my work outs but I still manage to get in there and get the basics done. I trained legs yesterday and my butt and hammies are killing all ready. Hurt so good feeling though. Today I am going to train chest and tri’s and then I’ll head to the beach again. The water has been feeling cooler these days but once you’re in it is refreshing.

My parents are visiting before heading to Mexico for the winter so I have been spending most of my time with them.

I was out on the sea doo’s again a little while ago but this time I was being pulled in a tube. Man it was fun but my neck was so sore the next day!! I’ll probably pass the next time. My buddy actually fell off it and he is over 6 foot tall and weighs a ton. He hit hard!! The things we do for fun eh!!

Well I’m off to the gym I hope all is well with everyone and I will be updating with recent pictures soon I promise. I just want to drop a few pounds first so I don’t look sooooooo off season hahaha!! Vanity ;O)

Hot & Humid!

Wow has it ever been hot & humid the past couple of weeks. I guess Summer has finally arrived. I have been swimming as much as possible and I was sea dooing out on the lake on Sunday. Gotta do what ya gotta do to stay cool.

I am training as hard as ever right now. Today was leg day and I am following the same routine, but trying to up the intensity and weights. I am sure I will be sore tomorrow! I will be training chest & triceps tomorrow and I am looking forward to it.

I’ve been busy redoing my bathroom. I’ve painted it two colors with a border separating the two. I have gone with an African animal/jungle theme. I am very pleased with the way it turned out.

The sun!!!!

Finally we had a beautiful day, no rain! I got up early and did some running around before going to the gym. I trained back and biceps today. I should be pretty sore tomorrow as I feel stiff already! In the afternoon I tried to catch some rays but I don’t think the UV’s were strong enough. I still look white. I hope tomorrow will be nice again so I can sit out again. Maybe I had better do some weed picking to, that will feel great on my back hahaha!

I was at a birthday party yesterday. Just went to Boston Pizza. I had the chicken Santa Fe calzone. It was pretty good. We surprised the birthday girl by getting the staff to sing and bring out a little ice cream and brownie dish. She had no idea that that was happening so it was a great surprise. We all shared the treat, it was so good!

I better go make some dinner. I am cooking up some chicken with some salsa. Its pretty yummy.

Chest and Tri’s

Today was a pretty intense day. I was sweating big time while working out.

I did a lot of  negatives during my exercises and really focused on squeezing the muscle. I stuck to the regular routine other than that.

Now that I’m home I had a shake and plan on taking advantage of the nice weather. I’m going for a ride on the 4 wheeler. I hope I see a coyote! Any wild life would be good, the last time I saw a fox. All this in my back yard, its so amazing!!

Eggs and Tuna

HI everyone. I just finished preparing tomorrows meals, good ol eggs and tuna.

I again had a busy weekend with a dinner party on Saturday with good friends and a family dinner on Sunday. I’m always eating hahhahaha!!

I did train back on Saturday following the same routine as usual. Today I trained legs and again cranked out as many as I could with 6 plates a side. I got 20 reps and I felt like my head was going to explode.  I lifted heavier on hamstring curls today and I did negatives on leg extensions. So I switched things up a little again. Gotta keep the muscle guessing.

I am soooooo glad Jillian picked Ed on the Bachelorette!!!!!!

Busy Weekend

Good day everyone :) I know its been a few days since I updated but I have a good excuse. This weekend my brother in law had an enduro race and he came in second place!! We are very excited and proud of him. There is a campsite next to the race track and so a few of us camped out even though it was raining. We played a couple rounds of botchi ball and sang by the fire. Good times!! On Saturday we had a family bbq. It was nice to see all the cousins, aunts and uncles. I spent most of the time in the pool. I’m a mermaid hahaha!!

Training was pretty intense. Yesterday I did legs. I kept to the same exercises but instead of going really heavy for 10 reps I choose to go lighter and crank out as many reps as I could. For example I only used 5 plates a side on leg press and pushed out 20 reps. It was hard!!! It felt good to switch things up though. I did the same thing for all exercises that I usually do.

Today I did chest and tri’s. The gym was pretty busy tonight and I had to wait for some machines but thats ok. I stuck to the same routine as usual for chest and for my tri’s as well.

Did Back on Tuesday

Hello!!

Yesterday I did back and because I have been carb restricting I had very low energy, at least that’s what I think  the problem was anyway. I managed to get through all the exercises and still went heavy. I started with single arm rows for 4 sets.  Next up was the uni-lateral pull down machine for 4 sets.  Then I did reverse grip barbell rows for 3 sets and finished with 3 sets of seated rows.

After the gym I went to Costco and got some chicken breasts. I’ve been going through alot of them lately. When I got home I had to do some major tidying. I dont know how things get so messy!!!

Well…… today is my day off at the gym and I am going to enjoy it!

Congrats GSP!!!

The weekend was really nice. Saturday I went to my brothers for the UFC fight. GSP is my favourite fighter and he won!! Then on Sunday I took a drive down to Port Stanley. It was busy with people everywhere. I ate at a little diner and  walked along the beach.

Today being Monday I worked legs starting with leg press. Then to the assisted hacksquat machine. Standing leg curls were next supersetted with stifflegged deadlifts. Today I worked calves aswell.

So tonight is bachelorette enjoy everyone. :O)

Day Off

I took today off from training to give my body a break. I have been training pretty hard lately. Yesterday I trained biceps by themselves. I started with alternate dumbbell curls for 4 sets. Next up was high cable curls for 3 sets, I picture myself doing a double bicep pose when doing that exercise. After that I did 21′s, a combination of curls making up 21 reps per set. Those are pretty tough and they are done with a cambered barbell. Lastly I did rope hammer curls for a few sets and that was it. A nice easy workout!!!

I am training shoulders & traps tomorrow!

I also had a new photo taken the other day so ya can see how I am progressing. Don’t laugh as this is an off-seasonish shot.
